dedications.

For this week; I decided do something after reading the “Thank You’s” in the Cobra Starship album.  My idea is to do “dedications” or “thank you’s” to the people that helped me get through the years of my middle school & normal life. [the ones I’ve lived through so far.]

Mom & Dad. The two people that are responsible for my being. Thank you for raising me the right way, and letting me choose my own paths.

C. The perfect brother, and the even more perfect friend. My inspiration to always raise my voice and to never let anyone put me down.

E. I never really understood what a best friend was until I met you. The person I can always talk to without being judged, and the person that I can be myself around.

S. Thanks for always making me laugh. We can be both serious and totally random, and still have fun without caring about what other people think.

T.  My muse. You’re always helping me understand different perspectives without taking sides, and you’re one of the most fun people I’ve met.

N. Until this year, I thought things about you that weren’t true. Judgemental things. But you quickly became one of my best friends; you always know when something’s wrong. The one thing you’ve done for me that no one else could was to teach me that it didn’t matter what anyone thought, as long as I had people that couldn’t care less.

I’ve been inspired by many people to be  myself, but these seven people know me inside and out.  Everyone seems to be more inspired by celebrities and people that they hardly know than the people that affect the way they live day in and day out. Of course I like certain celebrities [Cobra Starship, Jason Castro, Ryan Sheckler, A Cursive Memory.] ; but I’m not dependent on my love for them. One of the reasons I decided to do this today, even though its a bit corny and different, was that I realized how much I depend on certain people today. I also wanted to thank the people that I love in a special way.

Even though this is a different kind of post, I thought it was fitting as my weekly post, because there are only two weeks left till graduation, and all my past posts have been summer/graduation related, so why not this one?

Today, I leave you with a quote that sums up the important people in my life.  Thank you.

You’re the beat that cant stop,
the peak of plot,
the deep in my thought,
the time on my watch.
You’re the air that I breathe,
the world that I see, you are.

-Everything by A Cursive Memory.
